The Biggest Arm Wrestling Event in Singaporean History

On the 25th of August, 2025, the Singapore Armwrestling Federation officially opened online registrations for their inaugural Singapore Armwrestling Open. This event is set to be the largest event in Singaporean arm wrestling history, with athletes from Italy, Poland, China, New Zealand, Mongolia, India, Thailand, Vietnam, Malaysia, Indonesia, and The Philippines, having expressed their interest to attend the event so far.
The event is part of the larger Singapore Urban Sports + Fitness Festival 2025 (SGUSFF), which saw over 70,000 attendees at their inaugural launch in 2024.
Taking place over two days (29–30 November), the event will feature over 40 categories, including those for para-athletes, migrant workers, novices, and females. The highlight of the event is undoubtedly the Team vs Team format occurring on Day 1, aptly dubbed the "Clash of Champions." This is a new format of arm wrestling that is debuting at the Singapore Open, where teams of five from participating nations go head to head with each other in a team tournament to battle it out for the highly-coveted championship cash prize, which currently stands at SGD $1,500.
Notably, Singapore Armwrestling has partnered with the biggest and most prestigious professional arm wrestling promotion in the world — EVW Sports — for this headline event, with the participants standing a chance to win exclusive EVW Sports medals.
The highlight of Day 2 would naturally be the PRO OPEN tournament, where only the Top 2 athletes from each PRO Men's division will be able to qualify for the title of "Overall Champion" of the Singapore Open. The Top 3 athletes in the PRO OPEN also stand a chance to win exclusive EVW Sports medals.
